Who we are
SoftwareCaptains exists of Tom Klaasen. Tom has a technical background: he studied computer science and was a passionate developer and architect in the first part of his carreer.
After ten years he founded 10to1, a software agency. 10to1 built bespoke web and mobile, and built a few own products.
When 10to1 was sold Tom worked for Scaleup.Vlaanderen, a coaching program for tech scaleups. There he discovered his passion for helping people to grow their tech team.
And that’s what SoftwareCaptains does now. We help leaders to navigate their tech team through their various growth phases.
Tom has a technical background and has experience in all domains that come with building a company: sales, HR, finance, product management, … He uses this holistic view when building growth strategies.
By organizing CTO Club – a community for CTOs – Tom has talked with 100+ CTOs and leaders in tech companies. He has built a thorough understanding of what works and what not – and why! – in tech companies.
